I love vintage camera's! A couple of years ago I bought a Holga because I really love the look of old film. And they shoot square pics - even before Instagram!!
So anyways, lately I've been looking into the old Polaroid instant cameras. Mainly the Land cameras that take pull apart film. I found buying them can be a bit of a gamble. There are a few expensive ones on eBay that are fully guaranteed to be function able, or you can try your luck on a $10 gamble which could be a bargin or a cool show piece. I took the gamble and got a winner!
These cameras were made from around the 1950's to the 1970's. They have an awesome accordion like part in the middle called the bellows which makes me love them even more!
Learning to use this camera and doing some film stuff again has given me a good refresh from my normal work. I really find it helpful to get out and do something different on a regular basis to keep my eye fresh and get me thinking about new AND old ideas!
If you're interested in learning more or getting into these cameras, drop me a line - either on here or my Facebook page. I'd be more than happy to help out a fellow Land fan :)
These are my first few instants. I'm so amazed by the quality from these old cameras! The camera exposes the film and ejects it out the side. You pull a tab that pulls the picture thru a set of rollers that breaks the developing chemicals. In 60 seconds you can pull apart your image. Love, love, love!!
